Homestay Families

Living with a host family in Mexico makes learning Spanish easy as you experience family life going on around you.

A student might join their homestay mum on a trip to the mercado to buy fresh fruit, sit and chat over a lunch of chiles rellenos or be invited to a relative’s party. For some students the experience is the highlight of the program and they keep in touch with their family long after they have left.

Students share a room with another AIFS student or can opt to have their own room for an additional fee. They will be provided with breakfast and lunch and in the evening they are free to try out the good value food in the local bars and restaurants.

Students are given their own set of keys and are free come and go as they please. Students are also able to receive phone calls at the family home.
