Excursions
Machu Picchu
The AIFS cultural calendar is designed to take advantage of local sites, events and festivals. In Cusco this may include a Peruvian cooking class, a traditional Peruvian music evening or walking tour.
Machu Picchu
Awe-inspiring, breathe taking, spectacular... despite the tourists, the Lost City of the Incas still manages to retain its air of mystery. No trip to Peru is complete without a visit. You can trek there accompanied by guides and mules or avoid the exertion and take the train from Cusco.
Sacred Valley
The lush plains of the Sacred Valley were an ideal settling place for the Incas. Today the region continues to provide Cusco with much of its food produce. Places to visit during a one day tour include the market at Pisac, the little town of Ollantaytambo built on Inca foundations and Chinchero, an Andean Indian village believed to be the mythical birthplace of the rainbow.
