Accommodations in Madrid
AIFS students with their homestay family
Students Students studying on an AIFS Partnership program in Madrid can choose to live in a shared apartment or with a Spanish family (for a supplemental fee).
Student Apartments
AIFS students live in twin or single rooms in fully furnished student apartments with shared living room, kitchen and bathroom facilities. Apartments will be located within 20 to 40 minutes' travel time by public transport from the AIFS Study Centre facilities.
Homestay Families
Students wishing to immerse themselves in the language and culture can choose to stay with a local homestay family. Students may be housed with a retired older couple whose children have left home, a single-parent family or maybe a young professional couple.
Students share a twin room with another AIFS student. Meals include breakfast and dinner Monday to Friday, and breakfast only on the weekends.
Homestay families are carefully vetted and students’ living situation is monitored by AIFS throughout the program. Should any problems arise students can be moved quickly and easily by contacting the AIFS Program Coordinator.
