Meet the AIFS Team in London

Tori Monkman - Head of Student Services

Tori

Tori has been working for AIFS since 2005 and is now responsible for the day to day running of programmes in London. Having studied and lived abroad she knows how it feels to be a foreigner in a new country and enjoys seeing first hand how students' horizons expand on AIFS study abroad programs. Tori enjoys travelling herself, particularly in Spain and Latin America and making the most of everything London has to offer from festivals to markets, parks and theatres.

Amy Moore

Amy

Amy has been working for AIFS since December 2008, both in Bloomsbury and with high school students in Richmond. Before she moved to London, she received a BA in American Studies, which included a year at the University of Pittsburgh. She enjoyed Pittsburgh so much that she decided to stay on for the summer to help with a non-profit organisation and continue her studies in African-American History. She loves traveling, particularly to France where her family now lives, and values the importance of integrating into different cultures. She also enjoys football, socialising, reading and organising events for students.

Corinne Cohen - Deputy Program Director

Corinne

Corinne has worked for AIFS since 1999 in a variety of different roles. Prior to AIFS, she spent a year as an exchange student at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she realized the value of studying abroad. Corinne’s current role is that of Deputy Program Director. This involves planning program, preparing budgets and having overall responsibility for our London and Oxford sites.

Sinead Sheehan

Sinead

Sinead has been working for AIFS since 2000 and is responsible for the academic side of the London program. She coordinates timetables, adjunct faculty classes, the British Life and Culture course, plus any administrative support services that visiting faculty may require. Sinead also coordinates the AIFS Internship program and is a qualified Counsellor. Her interests outside work are film, music, travel and eating out.

Student Advisors

AIFS also employs a number of Student Advisors from different backgrounds who are available to assist students with travel information, booking tickets and offering general advice. The Student Center also has a full range of travel guides and information books for consultation. The Student Advisors also assist with any emergency situations and a 24-hour Emergency Contact Line is manned by them.
